LOBROTOR PUMPS
Design, Characteristics and Applications
In an era of increasingly stringent quality requirements in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, it is essential to use process equipment that ensures gentle, hygienic, and efficient product handling. Our lobe rotor pumps are developed to optimize production processes and maintain high quality at every stage.
Design and Construction
The pumps are manufactured entirely from AISI 316 stainless steel and assembled with a robust bearing housing made of cast material with an epoxy-coated surface. The construction is designed for high operational reliability and long service life.
They are equipped with:
- Removable double tapered roller bearings
- High-precision gear transmission with adjustment mechanism
- Oil lubrication for stable operation
- System for axial shaft adjustment
A separate chamber ensures effective separation between the rotor and bearing sections. This also allows for the integration of a balanced, reversible mechanical shaft seal.
Features and Advantages
The lobe rotor pumps combine advanced technology with flexibility and offer a range of advantages:
- Gentle and smooth transport of the medium with minimal pulsation
- High dosing accuracy and capacity proportional to speed
- Ability to handle liquids from low to high viscosity
- Capability to pump liquids containing solid particles
- Self-priming function and good tolerance for dry running
- Stable operation under varying temperatures
- Compact design with high efficiency and low energy consumption
- Low lifecycle costs and easy maintenance
Industrial Applications
Lobe rotor pumps are particularly well suited for demanding industrial processes where hygiene, precision, and operational reliability are critical. They are supplied with connections in accordance with national and international standards and can also be customized to meet specific requirements.
Versions
The pumps are available in several variants to meet different operating conditions:
- ST version: Standard design with 3 lobes
- SM version: 3 lobes with increased tolerances for high temperatures
- HP version: Designed for pressures up to 20 bar
- PR version: Rotors and lobes made of soft metal alloy with tight tolerances, providing increased volumetric efficiency and improved dosing performance
